Case #12: Alan Randel
Projects: Email Marketing, IDX & MLS Integrations, IT Consulting & Tech. Support, Lead Generation, LMS Development (Learning Management System), SaaS Configuration (Broker Command, DotLoop, KVcore), Social Media Management, Web Design
I'll always remember when I got a random call from a Craigslist post that I had made. It was from a jolly old man who was concerned about the livelihood of his business going into the pandemic. I grew up around real estate, my grandfather had been a broker all my life and I had helped him do odd jobs, flipping houses, marketing, etc. but I had never pursued selling real estate. Long story short, the Broker became a bit like a god-grandfather and great mentor. We started out fixing technical issues within the company and supporting its agents during the time with so much uncertainty in the market and the economy was up in the air while everybody was working from home and going digital!
So, I helped the company catch up to the times: revamping their web presence, social media, transitioning to new SaaS platforms; including totally transforming the recruiting department of the brokerage by recruiting over 150+ agents in just over a year through implementing a strategy of telemarketing with virtual assistants and email and text message campaign follow ups! Furthermore, I got the opportunity to get into scraping the the MLS and developing custom code to leverage lead generation strategies. This client is one of my favorite case studies.
Case #6: Luis De Jesus
Projects: Book Cover Art, Event Planning, Literary Consulting, Logo Design, Marketing, Web Design
I remember getting to know Mr. De Jesus over a few occasions I visited his residence. Then one day I came to visit, his front door was wide open and he hollered for me to come in, when I approached back in his office I noticed he was transcribing something, typing with his two middle fingers (the only way he knew how), and I thought to myself WTH!? It must have been important because he kept me waiting a while before finally greeting me, he just had to finish his train of thought, or the paragraph or sentence he was typing. Well of course I was a little intrigued by the stacks of yellow pad notepaper he had before him and finally he explained the amazing story of his childhood memoir and how it was actually a piece of history, documenting the origin story of breakdancing and some very famous people that he came of age with.
So, long story short, I loved his story. I saw the opportunity and literary gold that it was, so I helped him get it edited and published and then built this brand around representing him to get the book on the market, marketing it, coordinating publicity gigs, speaking engagements, we eventually recorded an audio book and even had the book translated to a second language, it was a great run and experience. The title is named "The Kings of Dance," search it up to check out the kick-ass book cover art design! Another mentionable detail about this project that I think is cool was that I designed the logo to look like a book open creating two "A" letters to represent "Author's Advantage" with its pages.

This project was to not only enhance their online visibility but also to establish a compelling new brand identity that resonated with their craftsmanship. The client sought to expand their reach beyond their local community and they envisioned a digital presence that would showcase their artisanal expertise and appeal to a broader audience. In addition, they were eager to rebrand and needed a name that would encapsulate their heritage and quality workmanship. Recognizing the importance of search engine optimization (SEO), we conducted an in-depth analysis of the carpentry competitor's online presence and through targeted keyword research, content optimization, and technical SEO enhancements, I laid the foundation for improved visibility in search results. After a creative brainstorming process to present a new brand name that would embody their artisanal heritage and leverage SEO, I convinced them to simply chose the minimalistic name.

For this project l embarked on a mission to digitize language learning with a dynamic bilingual web experience. ESOL LATAM, a prominent language education provider, recognized the need for a robust online presence that would cater to a diverse, bilingual audience. So they sought out a partner who could not only provide expert branding consultation but also develop a website that would facilitate seamless learning experiences in both English and Spanish. Understanding ESOL LATAM's mission to make language learning accessible, I conducted in-depth market research and audience analysis. Case #3: Diana Luna
Projects: Branding, Web Design
One of my first "big ideas" was to build a mom and pop shop into a National service by transforming it from a pawn shop specializing in the jewelry and raw metal exchange industry. I set out to create a unique brand identity and a seamlessly integrated web presence. Although they recognized the importance of building a strong brand and a user-friendly web platform, they were not keen on changing their name. So I provided branding consultation and planned to develop a website that would streamline transactions and enhance customer experiences.
Nevertheless, this project was abandoned and I decided to hold on to the name for the past decade, knowing that it would be worth a pretty penny someday. Although I am not marketing it, this domain is for sale, and I might someday develop a robust web platform that seamlessly integrates with exchange operations by facilitating easy transactions, providing real-time market information, and offering a user-friendly experience for both buyers and sellers in the jewelry and raw metal exchange market. For now the site that is live is just an old mock-up of a single static page that has not been further finished or developed into a real business at this time. However, if ever I get the chance to create a user-centric experience with intuitive navigation, clear calls-to-action, and secure transaction processes, ensuring a seamless experience for users looking to buy or sell precious metals and jewelry, I am sure that this business will be a successful turn-key operation eventually.
Case #1: Anonymous
Projects: Brand Development, Business Development, Web Design
HI Holding Company was one of my first projects, after starting my first web design company when I was 15, One Stop Net Shop, I cold called some businesses in my local town and picked up my few first customers, a bowling alley, a hair salon, and the local Police Athletic League Organization. It was a humble beginning for just being a kid with "side-hustle business" and an unofficially registered company.
This experience gave the opportunity to start building my first portfolio which indeed helped to land a once in a lifetime chance to secure an internship working at the local School Board in the Information Technology department. Although I started as a paid intern, working part time for an on-the-job work exchange program for school credit, I was promoted to a Computer Programmer Jr. position within a couple of years. The connections I made there with older peers (the workforce was mostly almost retirement age) lead me to be in the know of how things were done, not just in the government, but how big business and corporations operate. My colleagues were all very kind and helpful.
HI Holding Company was an evolution from the natural hustle I grew up from building websites, doing affiliate marketing, and ecommerce.

I then collaborated closely with INC Holdings to formulate a comprehensive business development strategy including market research, identifying potential investment opportunities, and creating a roadmap for growth and diversification within their investment portfolio.
Finally, I designed and developed a cutting-edge website with intuitive navigation that serves as a dynamic hub for the firm. The website showcases their overall investment approach, portfolio of companies, and provides many valuable resources for investors and partners.

Case #17: Christopher Palmer
Projects: Branding, Logo Design, Web Design
This project came up 8 years after my initial dealings with the ILR Group as an experiment and technicality something of a band-aid solution for challenges that had arisen within the accounting and finance side of the business. The objective was to quickly build a brand and website that mimicked the persona of the brand, but also could stand on its own as an independent business. I only had one day to complete this, nevertheless, I was able to pull it off. I admit, this is not my best work, but I was proud that I delivered a completed website that was "good enough" to satisfy the requirements and solve a bigger problem that needed to be addressed as soon as possible at the drop of a hat!
There wasn't much time for research or analysis with this one, I decided on and built the brand image then designed the logo all in just a couple of hours. Then moving to the website, I went with a simple, clean design that showcased the inventory and used call to actions that all lead to essentially the same place, making a request on an easy to use web form. This was the most feasible option for the limited time available to complete this work in a crunch. At the end of the day, I was able to source all of the required content, images and copywriting to lay out and develop a completed website, from start to finish, in just under 12 hours. It was a long day, but the reward was well worth it.
Case #9: JC Mays
Projects: Branding, Business Development, Lead Generation, Logo Design, Web Design
In collaboration with my real estate colleagues I embarked on a dynamic journey to foster growth within the industry through strategic branding, business development, lead generation, distinctive ,graphics and logo designs, and a compelling web presence for all of the agents I've had the privilege of working with, in addition to developing all of the agency branding for Leads Branch to approach them.
My challenge was to build Leads Branch Marketing into a burgeoning marketing agency in the real estate niche to help the network of agents that I have built, so with recognizing the need for a brand identity that would differentiate it in a competitive market I built the concept around the idea that "money does grow on trees" and leads were the source of money for most businesses, especially agents. So I crafted a logo that would embody that vision, making a leave out of leaves, representing the individual leads of the lead gen. money tree.
I conducted comprehensive market research and analyzed the unique value proposition of Leads Branch Marketing through many strategic branding consultations with various agents, then I developed a brand identity that communicated their commitment to customer service, excellence in industry knowledge, and results-driven marketing strategies to acquire new real estate buyer and seller leads opportunities.

This partnership encompassed comprehensive consulting on branding, business development, logo design, and web design. The editor-in-chief, who I knew as a past professor, sought to establish a brand that would resonate with a global audience of writers, artists, and creators to "share knowledge for enlightenment." They needed guidance in establishing their brand image, developing a robust business foundation, creating a memorable logo, and building an online presence that would truly inspire creativity and productivity.
I conducted in-depth market research and analyzed Wake Up Write's unique strengths and competitive landscape, and through strategic branding consultation, crafted a brand identity that conveyed their commitment to creativity, inspiration, and productivity. I closely worked with Wake Up Write to provide comprehensive business development solutions encompassing market analysis, identifying possible growth opportunities, and devising a strategic roadmap for expanding their reach and service offerings. The logo was a fun endeavor, resulting in a distinctive emblem representing the sun and an all seeing eye. The design integrates elements symbolizing awakening and productivity.
The site I designed serves as a hub for creative minds, featuring a seamless platform for literary publishing exploration and inspiration.
